Hobble Creek Golf Course first opened for play in 1967. The course was designed by William F. Bell.
Hobble Creek GC is one of Utah's better public courses. It was built in Hobble Creek Canyon, which is in Springville, and offers some of the best scenery in Utah. This is a tree-lined course with many narrow fairways. The greens are difficult to read because of their speeds and varying undulations. Water hazards (creeks and ponds) come into play on a number of holes, and numerous sand bunkers are spread throughout the course. It has a unique golf course design that prides its difficulty not in distance but in accuracy.
Black tees: par-71, 6,406 yards
Blue tees: par-71, 6,050 yards
White tees: par-71, 5,820 yards
Red tees: par-73, 5,435 yards

I travel a lot and have played the best courses in the world from the UK, South Africa and Australia, as price value ratio nothing and I mean nothing comes close to Hobble Creek. Location is spectacular. Conditions are amazing not an overly difficult course if you hit the ball straight, Staff are pleasant and friendly. There are a couple of holes on the back that are interesting but again all courses have those. I will say if you are in Utah and want a golf course to enjoy both the course and ambience, this is it. Having lived in California I know what a course like this would cost.

It came recomended so we made the drive from Park City. Not worth the drive. It is very beautiful this time of year with the trees changing color but the layout of the holes is not too exciting. The staff does not seem to happy to be there and not very helpful. The man in the Pro Shop has the personality and customer service skills of a 4 iron. (i dont really care for my 4 iron). If i lived in the area within ten miles i would play the course in a pinch but there are better courses in the area.

This course is a short distance up a mountain canyon and in September the leaves were changing and it was absolutely beautiful. The course was in good condition except for slightly bumpy greens. The layout is good but you can lose a lot of balls if you are not hitting it straight. It is a good walking course.

Nice layout. Lots of trees, can be a tough course if your game isn't on. Fairways and greens are in good shape. You may see some wildlife.
